Vodka sauce sans vodka with Italian Sausage
Vodka
Sauce
Sauté mixture:
·
Olive oil
(about 1 T)
·
1/2 C Chopped
onions
·
1 Garlic
clove
·
1 Chicken
Bouillon cube
·
1.5 oz good
vodka
·
1 - 14.5 oz
can of fire roasted tomatoes
·
1/3 tsp salt
Add
·
1/3 C of
heavy cream
·
2 T of
chopped basil
Directions:
1.
Sauté section
onions in olive oil until tender (about 4 minutes)
2.
Add the
Garlic clove & chicken bouillon cube for about 1 minute
3.
Add the vodka
in for a second, don't worry if it catches on fire. It will go out
4.
Add the fire
roasted tomatoes and bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer for 15 - 20 minutes
5.
Remove from
the heat then, blend & return to the pan
6.
Add in the
heavy cream and basil under low heat and stir for 2 minutes
7.
Remove from
the heat
8.
Toss the
mixture with some angel hair pasta
9.
Top with
parmesan cheese.
