Baked mac & cheese



Ingredients
8 oz pasta - elbows or cavatappi
2 C Lb shredded cheddar cheese - from a block, not pre-shredded
1/2 C of shredded Gruyere cheese
3 C Milk
1/4 C Butter
3 T Flour
1/2 C Panko
1 T Parsley - fresh chopped
1 T dry mustard
Salt & pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cook pasta 1 minute less that what the directions on the box say
  3. Melt the butter, add flour and simmer for 3 minutes
  4. Add 3 C of milk, whisk and heat until thickened, 5 minutes or so
  5. Add cheese a little at a time until the cheese starts to melt
  6. Pour cheese mixture over the pasta noodles, add salt & pepper
  7. Top with panko and parsley 
  8. Cook for 25 minutes
